About

I am Mette Aamodt.

I did all the things and now I am tired. I have lived in 4 countries, spoken 5 languages, gone to college then to Harvard for graduate school in architecture. Been a successful architect: published, award-winning and all that. I have started several businesses and run my own firm with my husband for 16 years. We started a movement in architecture called The Slow Space Movement applying the principles of slow living to our field. I have gotten married, had 2 kids, renovated my house. I have been an Instagram influencer, gone viral for slow living and amassed a sizable following. I have also had MS for 25 years. In addition to the normal tired of doing all of those things I have debilitating fatigue, and sometimes pain, that now prevents me from working. I have been trying to slow down since my diagnosis, not very successfully as you can see. But I have a lot of experience in trying to live a slow life and that is what this blog is about.
